According to the reports, The Bihar board intermediate examination conducted in 1274 centers across the state. Approximately 12.61 lakh students appeared in the state intermediate examination, out of whom 7,04,868 were boys and 5,56,925 were girls. 360 Students Expelled by BSEB in the Intermediate exam this year.
Zero Tolerance Policy by BSEB
Bihar Education Board ( BSEB ) had very embarrassed in the previous year due to ‘ Topper Scam .’ So, the Board adopted Zero tolerance policy against use of unfair means in the examination. The Bihar government had made District Magistrates ( DMs ) and Superintendent of Police ( SPs ) responsible for the free and fair conduct of examinations in their district. The SPs are ordered to provide as many forces needed for cheating free exams.
The chairperson of BSEB, Anand Kishore was spending much of his time in surprise visits to several examination centers and also frisked examinees to ensure cheating free exams.
360 Students expelled for cheating
The board has dismissed a total of 360 examines in the Intermediate examination held on 16 February for using unfair means and most of them were girls. Most of the examinees were caught from Nawada district in which the total number is 59 and out of which 39 are girls. After that Gaya and Patna comes in the list with the number of 35 and 19 expelled students. The board has told that there are also Five persons are arrested for allegedly impersonating as candidates from Jehanabad, Darbhanga, Nalanda, and Gaya district.
Superintendent of centers and Assistant Superintendent of centers was also under surveillance. Some of them were also suspended and removed from the examination duty. Among of them, there are also 17 invigilators of Nawada district has been suspended from the examination duty.
On the exam date, there was also rumors of paper leaked spread, but later these rumors were denied by the board.
